Hi Everyone,
I hope you guys had a wonderful Easter. I honestly feel, for me, as if 2017 started on 1 April and that the first three months of this year have been about clearing unfinished business from 2016.
In today’s blog post, I’m sharing with you a few key insights that I have learned through my own journey of transforming my life of disappointment to a life of divine appointment. Please listen to the radio show link below to hear more about my personal story and take a few moments to think about how this relates to your own life.
What do I mean by a life of dis-appointment?
- The outcome of missing your appointment, in this life time, with your divine destiny; what many call – fulfilling one’s potential.
- Not being able or willing to see what God’s plan is for you because of a whole lot of “issues” that block you from living your life on purpose.
- Listening to and following the dreams that others have for you by putting your own needs and desires aside. You know your heart wants you to move in one direction but you allow yourself to be influenced by the opinions and demands of others to move away from what you are meant to do or who you are meant to be.
- The feeling of being misaligned with your true self. This leads you to develop inaccurate beliefs about yourself which dampen your spirit and diminish your drive.
- The feeling of a constant sense of disappointment (from others towards you or from you towards yourself) that creates an emotional environment of feeling unworthy of the fullness of life, which is your right and ultimate destiny.
How did I move towards a life of divine appointment?
-
By seeking, discovering and uncovering aspects of the unseen world. This is the world of the collective unconscious and the personal sub-conscious.
- By reading books that helped me discover more about me. The first self-help book I was given was called Women Who Love Too Much by Robin Norwood. My life had never included a self-help book before but that book helped me understand my personal subconscious. The second self help book I ever read was The Road Less Travelled, by Scott Peck. This opened my mind to the world of the collective unconscious – a world of spirituality that taps into the power of the infinite, synchronicity, divine guidance, the universal mind and destiny. I read 700 books in five years!
- By having the courage to change careers and travel to foreign lands in search of my own holy grail and my mentors and finding Marianne Williamson.
-
By committing to a career that helps others to transform their lives and enables me to continue my commitment to my own journey of self-discovery and transformation. This path fulfils me and has delivered me to my divine appointment in service of YOU.
