Hi Everyone,
Here in Australia, we just had the Same Sex Marriage Equality vote. A vote to honour the human rights of individuals and to uphold the values of equality, freedom and individual integrity. These movements enrich the collective soul of humanity as actions based on love and non-judgment diminish the forces of fear and prejudice.
The violation of human rights is indeed soul destroying. Whether it be political regimes that commit heinous crimes against the people of their countries because of race, religion, sexual orientation or whether it be actions based on hunger for economic gain, measures must be taken and are being taken on a global level to prevent such violations on that macrocosmic scale.
Protecting our rights and the rights of others , is imperative to our humanity on every level. One of the greatest aspects of American culture is their Bill of Rights which holds dear certain freedoms for its citizens, at least in principle. However, are you aware that there is another bill of rights- one that protects you on a personal psychological level? This is your emotional and mental freedom Bill of Rights.
Can you imagine what I’m talking about ? Do you think it would be useful to know what rights you have emotionally and mentally- not just legally, socially and politically?
